Miracle of the Flood in Compostela Valley
On December 4, 2012, 4 days before the Feast of the Immaculate Concepcion, like an angel of death, super-typhoon Pablo ravaged the town of New Bataan, Compostella Valley.

Prior to the flood, a mysterious woman warned the four boys to pray to Our Lady Mediatrix, predicting that a disaster similar to that in Cagayan de Oro would soon take place. The four prayed devoutly together.
Andap ng Liwanag
A second miracle occurred at Barangay Andap, a few kilometers upstream of Kibinuangan. Two giant boulders split the flood, protecting hundreds of evacuees at the San Roque Chapel and at the marketplace downstream. The evacuees punched a hole in the ceiling of the chapel to reach the safety of the roof. A memorial shrine called Andap ng Liwanag (Andap of Light) was built in between the two boulders which parted the raging waters.

The Andap ng Liwanag Memorial Shrine in New Bataan, Compostela Valley.

Our Lady guards the entrance to the Mary Mediatrix Village. All residents are survivors of the flood. All have a Mediatrix statuette or photo or altar in their homes. Our Lady is in their homes and in their hearts.

Forged only to Get Moro Votes
A New Peace Plan Based on Integration not Separation
The most dangerous provision in the Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) that will bring war rather than peace, that affects our national security totally, is the setup of a Bangsamoro Army, provided with arms and funds, which can eventually turn against the government It will compromise intelligence gathering totally. The rebels will know every move of the AFP. Moro CAFGUS are more loyal to the Moro cause than to the government. It is an illusion that the BBL will bring peace.
BBL is a circus peace plan, where rebels surrender rusty arms in front of the media and secretly keep their good ones. They secretly have bullet factories in the forests while they attend peace talks. There is no sincerity. The absolute requirement for peace talks and for true peace is total surrender of arms, which has never happened since the days of the HUKs. If we talk peace and they keep their arms, NPA or MILF, peace talks are a big joke.
It is a radical debatable concept, but perhaps the way to true peace is INTEGRATION RATHER THAN SEPARATION, not so much separate governance through autonomy but coexistence down to the grassroots, which is a tall order. At the grassroots, Muslim and Christian communities are really non-belligerent. They trade and share market places. The extremists on both sides, a mere 5%, bring war.
Perhaps Duterte can institute a new radical Peace Panel dominated by Bishops and Ulamas and grassroots community leaders, rather than war-prone generals and rebel leaders, and green political appointees. So far, the autonomy we have implented (ARMM) is a failure. ARMM is a mirror of our government, just as corrupt, and budget hungry. BBL will simply replicate the ARMM disaster on a larger scale, requiring a larger budget. It is a challenge for Duterte to experiment on this new concept.
The ‘Peace Zone’ Concept is the Only Hope
Duterte warned the Lumads not to join the NPA. He should also warn them not to join the AFP. The key to the survival of the Lumads is NEUTRALITY
In the last two decades, the Lumads are being massacred into extinction. The AFP and their Baganis (Lumad CAFGU) kill Lumads who side with the NPA on mere suspicion. The NPA kill Lumads who are known supporters or informants for the AFP. In the end, Lumads for AFP and for NPA kill each other while the AFP and the NPA drink beer in their camps.
The Lumads are now in deep crisis. They are caught in between. They become the pawns of either side in an never-ending war. It has evolved into a ‘slow genocide’ picking up momentum lately. The massacre of Lumads have quadrupled in the last decade. The only way out is to stay neutral.
Duterte promised the Lumads livelihood. That is not the solution. The Lumads turn to the NPA not because they are hungry, but because they are killed by the AFP on mere suspicion of being NPA supporters. There is no trial or evidence. The same with the NPA who kill Lumad AFP informants on mere suspicion in fear they will be pointed out.
There have been short-lived but successful civilian-led PEACE ZONES in Lumad territories during the GMA Administration, as in the Arakan Valley, Cotabato, and Sagada, Mountain Province. Armed AFP and NPA are not allowed in these zones. It was undermined by suspicions of violations from both sides. The peace zone concept can be revived, but there must be sincerity on both the AFP and NPA sides, and strict monitoring by residents. This is the only hope for the Lumads in crisis. Now, they are an endangered specie.
The authoritarian Duterte is in a position to impose the Peace Zone concept. He can tell both the AFP and the NPA to stop recruiting Lumads, and to stay away from peace zones. It is worth doing a pilot model.

Matalam, South Cotabato. The Mediatrix Miracle of the Pulsating Sun occurred on December 13, 2017 at the Shrine of Our Lady Mediatrix of All Grace after a concelebrated mass led by Kidapawan Bishop Colin Bagaforo. A first hand witness said the sun became bright and dim intermittently, pulsating with the corona changing to different colors.
WATCH IT ON YOUTUBE. Please note that, in spite of the poor visual quality, the audio reveals the screams of the stunned viewers – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WXSnayC6nI8&feature=youtu.be
Fatiima is surprisingly linked to Lipa. The two miracles of the sun, at Fatima and Lipa, occurred EXACTLY 100 years apart, at about the same time in the early afternoon, on the Centennial of the Fatima (Source – fatima-miracle). Also, Anacleta Trivino witnessed the Mediatrix statue in Lipa shed tears when Fatima visionary Lucia was dying. (Source – The Wonders of Lipa, by Dr. Francisco Villanueva, Jr.).
The link between Fatima and Lipa has vast geopolitical implications, related to Saint John Paul II’s Ecclesia in Asia, which cites three phases in global evangelization – the First Millennium (31 AD or Christ’s death to 1000 AD), in the Old World, the Second Millennium (1001 to 2000 AD), in the New World, and the Third Millennium (2001 to 3000 AD), in Asia.
Although the Mediatrix devotion had its origins in Belgium in the 1930s, and used by Catholic bishops in China in 1946, it was in Lipa where the first miracles occurred – the apparitions and the shower of rose petals bearing religious images. Pope Francis embraced the Mediatrix statue during his visit to Tacloban. Pope Francis looks up to the Philippines, the only Christian nation in Asia, to lead the Third Millennium thrust.
CLARIFICATION. In the first investigation, the Vatican declared  the Lipa apparitions as ‘not of supernatural origin’, but, together with the CBCP, declared that THE DEVOTION IS ALLOWED. When the investigation was questioned, a second one was conducted, which is again being questioned. A third investigation is brewing. Satan works hard thru unbelievers and doubters because he knows the Mediatrix is critical to Pope Francis’ Third Millennium thrust. Today, the Mediatrix devotion spreads rapidly in spite of Vatican concerns.
Duterte did not have to jeopardize our territorial rights in Benham Rise and Spratley in exchange for multi-billion trade deals with China. First, those deals  are still mostly on paper, and have to be realized. Second, we can have trade deals with Russia, EU, and Australia.
Duterte turned a blind eye when China ignored the international court at The Hague. The vast implication, although not his intent, was that he was virtually giving up territory for trade, that is why China loves him. He was sending out this bad signal to the whole world.
Right now, Duterte wants a deal with China on joint exploration of oil-gas in disputed territories. But he has less bargaining leverage because of that. In poker, they call ‘sign of weakness’. When your body language shows you have poor cards, other bettors know it and pounce on you.
A deal between the Philippines as ‘landowner’ and China as ‘tenant’ is the best solution towards peace, not the US carriers saber-rattling around our Reed Bank. It is actually now in process. The Philex-CNOOC deal, the game changer, the catalyst, is being worked out. Fingers crossed.
China is in a position of strength, and Duterte is in total subservience, ready to be manipulated, because he showed weakness. Negotiation is one sided. China can do anything it wants in the Benham Rise and Spratleys. If Duterte stood his ground, we perhaps could have had both trade booms and our territories respected all at once. Duterte jeopardized prematurely our territorial rights without a fight. We should envy the Vietnamese, who are not afraid of China. And China knows it, so there is room for negotiations.
When China put up an oil rig 200 nautical miles from the Vietnamese shore, Vietnam sent patrol boats. They had daily skirmishes. Then Vietnam launched an  effective nationwide boycott of Chinese goods. China backed down. The oil rig was withdrawn eventually – too much risk for China to spend millions on an oil rig that Vietnam had the balls to shoot down anytime. All this happened without US intervention.
We do not have any balls to face China, and China knows it. That makes a lot of difference. We have  to show some BELLIGERENCE to get a bargaining leverage. China uses trade as a weapon against us. When we filed the case at The Hague, China withdrew shiploads of banana imports from Mindanao, which was flooded with free bananas. If we send a warship to Benham, China will boycott our goods. In Vietnam, it was the opposite. The Vietnamese boycotted Chinese goods. China can still push us around agriculturally but not as much if Duterte stood his ground.
Duterte crony ex-Mayor Lito Atienza issued a hyperbolic statement claiming 300,000 jobs for Filipinos, and Chinese military assistance. Are these just talk and PR or reality? He is strengthening our subservience by talking that way. The faster we get an actual exploration deal with China, even if it is a bit one-sided one, the faster we avoid a military US-China confrontation. Bread pre-empts bullets. If there is an accidental war, Filipinos are the ultimate losers, not the Americans nor Chinese.
It is not too late for Duterte to acquire belligerence and tell China we want a deal but we want our territories respected. If they encroach, let the world know this is an incursion not an ‘agreement’. If they boycott our goods, there are other takers. China knows it cannot push Vietnam around just like that. China and Vietnam have been at war for centuries. We should adopt the belligerence of Vietnam, but we have to be ready to get some flak.

Duterte Helpless to Rescue Riding Public?
Davao City commuters are up in arms over an LTFRB-SMART monopoly, complaining that President Duterte and Davao City Mayor Duterte seem helpless to rescue them. Their protests in Davao print-radio-social media were simply ignored. The corrupt-prone LTFRB, instead of regulating and servicing, is going into business for itself. It is inducing monopoly which will yield run-away fares.
According to Davao taxi drivers interviewed, LTFRB has created HIRNA, its own GRAB-type service in partnership with SMART, which taxis are OBLIGED to join. Result, taxi rates have increased. Ultimate victims are riders and drivers for higher meter and boundary rates. Ultimate beneficiaries are LTFRB and SMART in the billions per year, and operators. LTFRB’s reply is yan ang batas (that’s the law). Drivers claim it is not the law. People claim people were hired to ‘legalize’ the monopoly on the local level. Help, Mr. President, Ms. Mayor.
The LTFRB is presently getting a windfall in handling the UBER-GRAB-TAXI dilemma. They have increased franchise fees to the high heavens charged to the riding public. They have catered to power politicians behind the taxi industry. LTFRB’s mandate is to service the riding public, not make a lot of money for itself, and induce monopoly. By law of supply and demand, new players will kill the monopoly eventually. GRAB’s 2-minute fee per minute is just the beginning of monopolistic practices. Greed is the issue.
Clarifying Negative Vatican Declarations
This article aims to clarify negative Vatican Declarations on Our Lady Mediatrix of Grace, as many Marian devotees are confused and hesitant to join the devotion. In spite of Vatican negative declarations, however, the devotion is spreading rapidly, which the Vatican and CBCP ironically say is not forbidden.
The Vatican declared in the 50s that the apparitions and miracles attributed to Our Lady Mediatrix of Grace in Lipa City through visionary Sr. Teresing Castillo were ‘not of supernatural origin’. But when a Filipino Bishop admitted at his death bed that he was coerced to change his positive statement, with five other Bishops following suit later, a re-investigation was conducted.
The re-investigation was again questioned when there were inconsistencies in the Vatican declaration, if Pope Pius XII really reconfirmed it ‘not of supernatural origin’ or if it was just Vatican elements saying that. There were inconsistencies in dates, which Vatican elements were silent about to this day. A third investigation is brewing.
The Vatican and the CBCP issued statements clarifying that the THE DEVOTION IS ALLOWED EVEN WHILE THE APPARITIONS WERE STILL IN QUESTION. After all, who will say it is a sin to pray to Our Lady. This go-signal triggered a rapid growth of the Mediatrix devotion all over the Philippines – Batangas, Manila, Cebu, Davao City, Digos, Kidapawan, even California. About 85,000 Mediatrix statues are now in many churches and homes nationwide. There is no stopping the Filipino to be truly loyal to Our Lady.
Saint John Paul II, in his Ecclesia in Asia, cites 3 historical phases in the Church’s global evangelization – the First Millennium (31 AD, Christ’s death, to 1000 AD), in the the Old World, the Second Millennium (1001 to 2000 AD) in the New World, and the Third Millennium(2001 to 3000 AD) in Asia. Pope Francis looks up to the Philippines is the pivot for the evangelization of Asia today. Marian devotees believe the pioneer Mediatrix shrine in Nanjing, China, is part of God’s evangelization plan.
Call Centers, 4,000 PEZA firm, Power Rates, All Businesses Affected
Will Trigger Bigger Capital Flight
Some of the 4,000 PEZA firms may move abroad because of tax hikes from TRAIN (Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion). PEZA tax exemptions to attract business contradicts TRAIN tax hikes to discourage business. We better make up our minds. Do we want them or not? PEZA insists the tax exemptions hold, based on past Supreme Court decisions. TRAIN is a regression, and has vast implications on the national economy.
BPO is the second largest dollar earner next to OFWs, and the fastest-growing industry today. But call center owners predict NOT GROWTH BUT DECLINE OR EVEN DEATH because of TRAIN. There is right now a de facto freeze in expansion due to perceived TRAIN over-taxation. The government is just too greedy. Worse, the call centers may also migrate abroad as the government strangles the industry more. We may lose this billion-dollar industry in the blink of an eye.
TRAIN-2 will result in more power rates increases, on top of our having one of the highest power rates in Asia. TRAIN-2 will over-tax the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP, our power-grid manager), which will ultimately be charged to both home and corporate consumers. Many industries have resettled in Thailand and Malaysia because of the bad business environment here due to corruption and government red tape and over-regulation. This over-taxation is the last straw, the coup de grace to strangle the Philippine economy. It will kill many SMSEs. By the way, over-taxation actually induces more corruption, and vice versa.
For Election Protest Filing Fee
Bongbong paid more than P80 million to file his election protest. Where did the money come from? Why is there no hidden wealth probe? Government agencies of course fear pro-Marcos Duterte, but how about the opposition or the public? What happened to the gold and money FM smuggled out of the country? Are they back to put his son to power?
