to seek peace and converse with the Lord
when you go back to the outside world

wisdom replaces confusion
patience replaces anger
forgiveness replaces vengeance

the cancer-ridden tycoon told the healer
if i am healed i will give a million dollars
to your ministry
he was never healed
the Lord does not make bargains

the cancer-ridden beggar told the healer
i surrender myself to His will
if i am healed i will serve Him
he was healed instantly
sounds like the pharisee and the publican

the Lord gives to those who want to give

when greece had an economic crisis
germany hesitated to launch a financial rescue
for inspite of its wealth, its economy was also waning
finally germany gave in because it knew
if greece fell, the germany economy
would eventually wane more

in war time poland
a farmer kept his excess harvest secret
from the many refugees pouring in
finally, feeling guilty, he shared it
when his home was burnt down
the refugees built a larger one for him

the time of extreme want requires extreme sharing
the greatest test of giving
is when you have one loaf of bread left
and there are a dozen people
the Lord has mysterious ways
of rewarding generosity

the more you give
the more you receive
so says the Lord
