Please pray for candy versoza, biopsy scheduled at medical city for big mass found in his liver to confirm if it is cancer. He is requesting for prayers that it is not malignant.

Please pray over my mama who is currently suffering from minor cerebral edema as she just had a respiratory arrest last February 18. May our Lord God touch mama’s brain so that she can regain her full consciousness and touch her lungs so that she can be free of phlegm secretions and with that the trachea tube that she got as she just had her tracheostomy last March 23 be finally removed from her trachea and may she be able to fully breathe on her own. Lord God please help mama to fully recover and to be strong to battle all the trials that our family is going through right now. Mama is our only parent and with God’s grace, my sister and I are hoping for God to give us a second chance to live a normal and fruitful life with mama. I know in time our Lord God will summon mama but at the moment my sister and I are praying that God heed our plea to have years more to live with mama. I know that this is a request from an unworthy persons like us but I believe in God’s mercy and second chances. At the moment we are also running out of funds to finance mama’s hospitalization, medical needs and laboratory exams. We are at our relatives’ mercy and assistance. I am just starting with my new job and am not yet a regular hence I dont have a health card yet for mama. I already asked help from PCSO but still waiting for guarantee letter. God is good that my sister is an employee of Mother Seton Hospital hence we are given discount for my mama’s hospital expenses. We are praying for miracles that God will heal mama and mama will finally regain consciousness with God’s mercy. In Jesus’s name and Mama Mary’s intercession, may our Lord God hear our plea. I love mama so much and she’s the only we have. Please help us in asking for God’s mercy. Sabi ko nga: di ko naman po pinagdadamot Lord si mama, in time po ibibigay po namen siya Saiyo. Ngayon lang po na we’re emotionally, physically, and financially wounded and broken na hinihiling namen na sana tuloy tuloy na po paggaling ni mama. Sa Iyong habag at awa po kami umaasa. i thank God for people like you who devote their time to help others, that’s why i volunteer to be a prayer warrior. i will do my very best to pray for others. i personally have a prayer request for my firstborn son named Ziv, … he is diagnosed with hydrocele and is in need of an operation … i ask for help and prayers… he is only two years old and i hope he does not need to undergo operation as i believe miracles can happen through all your prayers, he will get well and be normal and be healthy. i firmly believe in the power of prayer .. especially when others also join in with one intention to pray with God. thank you and God Speed.

I would like to extend my sincere and deepest gratitude for the prayers extended to my brother RIAN. He stayed in ICU for more than a month and he is now discharge in the Rehab. May our Mother Mary and all the prayer warriors continue praying to gain weight so he can stand and walk by himself. Sana po patuloy mong siyang gabayan at palakasin upang makauwi siya dito sa Pilipinas.. Please do pray also for my co teachers Mam Lenie, taking medicines for 5 years for her breast cancer, Nora just finished chemo for four sessions and Aida just finished 28 sessions of oral chemo and cobalt for her colon. Pls. help me to pray for Jun g, that he may be able to refund thw money from N&M with out anybody from that company duping and promising him nothing out of the money he’s waiting that he will use for the payment of his loans/debts here in the UAE. Hangang sa ngayon sa ay hindi pa po sya totaly healed. Nawalan n din po siya ng kakayahang magtrabaho eh wala naman pong maaasahan ang family nia kundi sya lamang. Dear Sister Raquel, Sisters and Brothers in Mother Ignacia Healing MInistry, I hope this email finds you well. I would like to request your healing & prayer ministry to pls. pray for my father, Serafin M. Last April 12, he underwent a trans-phenoidal surgery to remove a benign tumor in his pituitary gland which is causing him a lot of headaches, discomfort and may make him blind. The tumor was succesfully removed but there were complications. When he sneezed after the surgery, some of the abdominal fat they put in place of the tumor got dislodged and so, some air when into his brain that made him confused and so he wanted to pull out all his tubes so they had to keep him restrained and sedated all the time. Because the fat was dislodged, some brain fluid leaked also. The doctor is hoping that it would seal itself but if the fluid leak doesn’t stop, he would undergo a minor surgery to ‘seal’ it. Right now, they kept him sedated to calm him down and allow the ‘wound to heal’. That’s why when we visit him, he’s always sleeping. Please pray for a safe operation and quick recovery for this has been a very difficult time for all of us. Pls. help us in asking Our Lord Jesus to cast his healing hand upon him. We love our father and we can’t wait to see him up and about again to share this life with. Thank you very much.

Hi. Sir Bernie, I am a former subscriber. But I lost track since you transferred everything to the blog. I am a kidney transplant patient (5 years last april 7). I initially asked for prayers when I had an acute rejection. With God’s grace I recovered from it. Right now I am facing another challenge. Doctor said it’s chronic rejection which means that I’ll be needing another transplant sometime soon. I have a nephrostomy tube at my right side now which i believe altered the natural routine of my kidney. I can no longer pee the normal way which is not the case 2 weeks ago. Now he’s planning to place a stent inside the ureter next week. Sir, ive thought of my condition since my last consultation with my doctor. Do you think it will be a sin on my part if i refuse to undergo another operation? It will cause us so much this time. Most of our finances was used to support my medication. My mom has diabetes and have two siblings ages 7 and 9. I believe it’s already selfishness on my part. Ive already caused my family so much. Financially and emotionally. I just want them to be happy and be secured in the future. Sir, if it isn’t too much to ask, please include me in your prayers. For now, I know only God can heal me.

COPING WITH CHAOS

In the old days, I would take a fast refreshing jeepney ride in the evening from Governor Forbes along Dapitan to Quiapo for ten centavos, arrive in five minutes, and buy a huge tasty siopao for a peso. Life was simpler and there was always time.

Today, I would take the same ride in the evening for seven pesos, breathe a lot of carbon monoxide before I arrive in 30 minutes, if I was lucky, and buy siopao half the size, with more starch than meat at quadruple the price. It is an economic principle – life degrades fast as population grows fast.

In the 60s, with a P300 salary, one could hang out with friends for beer three times a week and have extra money for mundane purchases. Today, a salary of P20,000 is too small for basic necessities. Life has become expensive and complex.

We are also victims of chemically mass-produced food. In the old days, cancer was rare. Today, it kills more per day than in World War II. Expensive ‘effective’ medicine are discontinued after being discovered to be cancer-causing ten years after they are released in the market.

We are all victims of a fast-shrinkng world. Time is getting cramped. We are so busy yet so bored. Half of our lives is spent on endless traffic and queues. We may not know it, but we are going into an uncontrollable tailspin.

There is so much to do and we have no time, yet we really have done nothing meaningful or substantial. We work twice as hard for half the money. We wallow in ever-increasing tasks that make us cold unthinking robots. Globalization and Internet have changed our lives. Just getting the news from the newspaper or from television, we realize how much conflict and chaos are percolating everywhere.

In the old days, one could quietly sneak into a church and say a prayer. Today, there is no or little time for prayer.

So how do we cope with chaos in our lives? We need to step back from the rush and the crowds. Here are some unsolicited prescriptions –

THE TEN PRECEPTS

start feeling and stop thinking;

create an inner garden where you can take a retreat from the world and be by yourself, where time is not important, where you can rest from making money that buys less and less, where you can stop worrying; where you can enjoy simple beautiful things like sunsets or music or your grandson;

be more spiritual and less material, find time to pray; the Lord will help you;

be simple, stick to the basics in terms of material needs; cheaper shoes, cellphones, five shirts is enough, some have 4 dozens, more than half unused;

be frugal, eat less, more vegetables and fruits than meat, do not over-eat, don’t overspend, live within your means, tear your credit cards;

remove yourself from all communication devices when you are in your inner garden; it takes time for waves to die down in a swimming pool after the last swimmer has gone; achieve the wave-less mirror-like pool in your mind; give it time, it is not instant; it is hard to forget problems even for a while;

find meaning somehow and avoid absurdity or irrelevance;

love and relate to people; make them a source of joy to cater to, talk to, dialogue with, share with; make your day by giving to someone;

be gentle to yourself and to others; get angry less, be more patient, anger clogs your aortic valves; gentleness unclogs them; laugh at the obnoxious and arrogant, don’t let them give you ulcers, or should I say, don’t give yourself ulcers because of them; who are they to make your life miserable;

be humble when people insult or castigate you, whether you are to blame or not; you will find that it feels good and refreshing in the end to be humble; when arrogance becomes a habit, it is a disease, it can even cause cancer.

In all there are just a few magic words – the three S’s –

simplicity, sharing, sensitivity.

Believe me, then can you cope with all the ever-increasing chaos the world will offer you.

HOW TO STAY YOUNG

· Throw out non-essential numbers – age, weight, height.

· Keep cheerful friends but smile at the grouches who want to pull you down.

· Keep learning. Learn more about computers, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle

· Enjoy the simple things, simple meals, simple people, walk don’t take a ride, enjoy the blue sky and the orange sunset, never take them for granted.

· Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath but don’t die just yet from it.

· Tears happen. Let them out. They heal you. Endure, grieve, and then move on. It is never the end of the world. End of the worlds as you see them are really just temporary. Tears dry up eventually. What endures is the way you deal with pain and hurt.

· Surround yourself with who and what you love – family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your spiritual sanctuary.

· Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help. Pray hard and see doctors. If you have no money, si the Doctor of all doctors. He does not charge anything except your goodness to others.

· Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity. It is good for you and for them.

· Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the number of moments that take our breath away. (this portion i found out later came from a certain George Carlin, thanks George)

· Don’t get angry too often and too much. Leave some space for your aortic valves. Patience is a treasure especially as you age. When someone gets you, smile and walk away. Then deal with it later when your wits are about you. Believe me, it is a youth serum.

· In life, arrogance and egoism are your absolute enemies. Humility and love are your absolute allies. The greatest test is to be humbled by people inferior to you. These people sanctify you. Love them in return.

· The best way to stay young is in the heart, not in the body. Your body ages, weakens, deteriorates but your spirit controls your true age. If you can share and dialogue with your craziest son, daughter, grandson, granddaughter, you are on the way to reversing age. If you can understand their young perspectives without losing your values and attitudes, you are on your way. It is also the way to share your adult world with them.

· Create your inner garden where you can go anytime you like. It is a garden where only the best in you and the people you love can enter and talk to each other.

· Very specific daily chores or task can get you into a ‘to do’ mood that makes you forget everything else. You become cold, calculating, impatient. They can keep you from your garden and make you wander in strange dark paths. Balance the world of chores with the world of just as important non-chores, if you know what I mean.

· Do not look inward too much. You see darkness and void. Look outward, at the real world, at people. You see light and meaning.

Hello everyone,

I’m begging prayers for our baby Matthew who was born with congenital heart defects and is back in the hospital. This Thursday he underwent open heart surgery to add a shunt to his heart. This stent has began to occlude and he was getting little oxygen. His oxygen was less that that required for a human to survive but still our baby fought on. Sometimes, in his sleep I see him smiling and laughing and I think to myself that perhaps Angel Raphael is playing with him and that brings me some comfort. During his surgery his doctors found out that his little heart had a lot of strange connections and looks quite different from what a normal heart looks like. His pulmonary artery is much smaller than the normal size. They are unsure of the approach they will take for Matthew and this brought us a lot of grief and fear. But before they could proceed with an angiogram, Matthew’s oxygen levels dropped once again while he was in the ICU and later on they found out that 1/3 of his right lung has collapsed. The collapsed lung contributed to his low oxygen count since he cannot expel the carbon dioxide in his body. His body was also getting highly acidic and his blood pressure was rising.

Right now the doctors are trying to inflate his collapsed lung and he’s

on a ventilator to aid his breathing. And we are waiting to see if the

shunt is working well. Eventually they will do an angiogram to see how

they will treat his condition but it depends on so many factors that

have yet to materialize as he grows.

Please…please…pray for Matthew. I can see him fighting so hard.

Even if he has been doused with drugs in order to keep him asleep, he

tries so hard to open his eyes. So far he has defied what normal

science would say about living and I think his inner strength comes from the Lord Himself. I am currently at his bedside in the ICU as I write this email. My husband and I just finished praying the rosary and prayed to Angel Raphael. I hope that you can all join us in prayer for Matthew’s recovery and for the eventual success of all his operations needed to keep him alive. Thank you so much for your help and support. Please pray for dear Margaret, a saintly women who created a beautiful facility for children and their families to go to while being treated for cancer. She has loved every child personally like Mother Theresa. She has recently been stricken with pancreatic cancer and is inoperable, but receiving chemo.There is a glich with her health insurance, now, please pray that Margaret White’s health insurance gets straightened out so she can continue her chemo treatments. Sr Racquel, My Co-Prayer Warriors, I pray that Lord Jesus Christ heal all my illness 1. hormonal imbalance – i tried different hormonal pills, i was operated (2007 & 2008) for disfunctional uterine bleeding; 2. cyst from left & right ovaries; cyst from left & right breast; 3. Autoimmune disease (Multiple sclerosis) many parts of my body numb, muscle pain, electric-like pain, burning sensation. This is incurable & degenerative disease (slowly worsening condition). 4. hypertension 5. hemorrhoid 6. HSV. It reduce my working ability, loss drive to dream and plan for my future and my family, develop depression, anxiety, loss concentration & poor memory. Presently I’m taking different medicines prescribed by my doctors (neurologist, ob-gyne, opthalmologist), i’ve tried alternative medicine (body massage, body energy electromagnetic synchronizer) herbal medicine, attend healing mass & sunday masses.I tried everything to restore my good health & memory so i can go back to normal life to continuously help my family, the needy, to use my remaining life doing and following GOD’s mission to me with so much faith to HIM and fear of doing evil. My name is Bev , I am writing in For members in my family ,For my Brother Terry,who has Diabeties & high blood pressure & high trigliserides & sight trouble , also for my Brother Kerry he had a rare form of Mucus Cancer he had to go through. He Was Diagnosed With Adenocarcinoma – Mucinous Type Cancer in November 2008 In the spring of 2008 Kerry suffered extreme heartburn and chest pains, symptoms common to gallstones. He began to monitor his diet and make changes that would calm these symptoms. In the next couple of months the heartburn became less severe but Kerry began to notice a knot protruding from his umbilical area. June 2008 he saw a gastrologist. Kerry was expecting to hear he was suffering from an umbilical hernia that may need surgery. He also requested the doctor order an ultrasound of the gallbladder. The ultrasound revealed many tumors within Kerry’s abdomen, originally thought to be on the appendix and on the kidney, then the colon, and with additional testing an exploratory surgery was scheduled. During Kerry’s one week hospital stay where some tumor was removed and he was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma – mucinous type cancer, we learned that Kerry’s cancer was very uncommon. During a second operation six months later Kerry’s gallbladder, spleen, 1/3 of his stomach, appendix, omentum, and 2- 12” sections of his large colon were removed. Kerry’s recovery has been slow and painful. He still has weight to gain and new eating habits to establish. Kerry’s medical bills are expected to reach around $100,00 also For My Sister Rhanda Mast ,she has Heart trouble & also almost suffered a stroke & Prayer for the rest of my Family & also for my self & My son to have his needs met & both of us filled with Gods Love , God knows my heart & needs I have need of a Job also , also for my Sister Jane & the rest of my sisters & brothers Please i Hope you read this email ,Prayer is desperatly needed .Thank you so very much .

I came across this site while searching for jobs and articles about credit card debts . I know it is a sign that God is showing me the way. I am currently unemployed due to office politics at a local government Unit I was working before. I can no longer tolerate the people I work with; always prioritizing their personal, financial and political gains instead of serving the people (which is what they should prioritize). I filed my resignation but it was not formally process. Processing it will unearth some corruption that happened. I already filed a complaint to CSC about this last year and still no resolution. Since I didn’t get any separation pay or any monetary means from my work, I don’t have enough money to pay my credit cards. Collecting agencies are already sending me formal demand letters. I haven’t found work yet. Especially because I do not have the documents from my previous work stating that I was discharge honorably. Please pray for me that my financial and personal woes will be resolved soon. I also pray for all the government employees that they may put into action their sworn pledge to the people. Please pray also for those (would be) elected officials to think of ways to boost their constituents’ well-being before they boost their political status and bank accounts. They have been trying hard to come up with the funds for it all — all these are just stressful for the family and especially for tito rey already since he has also been the head of the family and even at his age, he still is working. Their whole family has been very active in their community and has helped a lot of people also, and i’m one of them (they have been very active in their prayers before when i was the one who was sick)… I’ve looked up to this family since i was a little girl. Greetings. I pray that you can reach many more people thru your prayers. My name is Gel, and i would like to request your prayer assistance for my Mom, Connie to save her eyesight. She has a deteriorating eye sight which our doctor cannot cure. We have constantly prayed for a cure or to prevent further deterioration of her eyesight (both eyes), but her eyesight still deteriorates. You see my Mom is a victim of a medical malpractice or overdose of Cobalt 16 years ago, which made her bones brittle, and burned her buttocks and intestines. As a result, she suffered a broken left hip, and still deteriorating spine and other hip, and she wears a Colostomy bag. She can still walk a little even with a shortened left leg which dangles or is not connected to her hip, with the help of her walker. We try to always make our lives normal, age gracefully and live with our infirmities, but we really need her eyesight for her to at least function a little normally. With a losing eyesight, she could not herself place her colostomy bag, or even walk to her urinal just beside her bed to comfort herself. Some people are really gifted more than others. Please include my foster mother AZT aged 82 , in your prayers. she is suffering from lympedema (malfunctioning of lymph nodes). Her toes, legs and lower torso is swelling due to block lymph nodes wherein body excess fluids cannot be drain off. It is a very very painful sickness and no cure as far as medical science is concerned, but I still pray and hope that our Triune God will heal her.Nothing is impossible to God, as he created us all, He can recreates us all. Another concern of mine is that if it’s her time to go, the sad thing about it is, we are at the moment financially broke and no one to turn to if this will happen. I was in the hospital for a check-up last Sat. when i saw this woman who was sitting in a wheel chair. Looking at her, i can see she is a stroke patient. We both hv the same attending neurologist. I took pity w/ this woman and i can feel her agony sitting there and cannot talk (probably due to stroke her speech was also affected). She can’t move herself and if she wanted to move will just cry. I asked her name from her companion becoz i want to help her through prayers. Her name is Amelia R. I also request for prayers for my offcmate Renato A. who is suffering from lung cancer, stage 4. Prayers also for Emily V. who is suffering from leukemia. He has recently undergone radiation and chemo treatment for his nasopharyngeal cancer. His recent MRI test showed that the tumors seen have already gone if not shrunk. We thank the Lord for helping us get thru the treatment process. Last Thursday we got a very sad news from Annie and Marius van Erp. Annie is given only a maximum of two to three months to live, due to her intestinal cancer. Annie is one of our very trusted sponsors, a friend and a Phil Fonds volunteer. Our yearly guests from the Philippines just like Gerard and Marvin are always welcome to her house. She let the blind children feel and hold the pets she has at home: dogs, birds, rabbits, etc. She has a lot!! People and pets are very dear to her. I am Ciony, begging for prayers for my husband Nestor. Last December 2, 2009, his right eye had massive bleeding and this bleeding increased signifificantly up to the time that we rushed him to the hospital on Dec. 25, 2009. The doctor didn’t gave any medicine yet because per ultrasound, they cannot locate where the bleeding comes. It was a rare case! But when there was intense pain on the 25th of December, we rushed him to the hospital and on the 26th, he was operated. He lost his sight but even if I know that it would be very impossible now to regain that sight, I’m still praying for miracle to happen. He doesn’t know yet up to now that his sight condition is like this. Sister, my husband is a lay minister here in our parish at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral and being such, he continues to pray to the Lord that miracle will happen. I joined him in this request, I beg for prayers from many religious people. even hopelessly, the Lord will help us. Worse Sister, ever since I married my husband, every now and then, he has anxiety especially when he is being pressured in his work in the office, and this, I am afraid – if real scenario will be told to him. I am begging for prayers, please include him in the prayer requests of the RVMs. I beg please! Another pain that torments now is my son is also sick, he was diagnosed to have hypothyroid and anemic. This added to my cross and but always, I really offered all these sufferings to the Lord, but sometimes, I feel weak already, I am praying that God will give me more strength and courage to carry all these trials, and if possible, if possible ony – to lessen the load. Thank you for entrusting your prayer intentions to us. Jesus is looking for a contrite heart within us, a heart that acknowledges its weaknesses and sins and is prepared to disencumber itself from them. God wants from us a genuine sorrow for our sins, which we will manifest, above all by receiving the sacrament of reconciliation, and by doing small deeds of mortification and penance in reparation for our sins and the sins of the world. We end with a quote from St. Therese, Story of a Soul, regarding that difficult word * mortification. “My mortifications consisted of breaking my will, which was always ready to impose itself, to hold back a reply, to do little services without noting them, of not resting my back when I sat down, and so on. It is through the practice of little nothings that I prepared myself to be the bride of Jesus.” May we be united together in prayer during this holy season of Lent as we follow in the footsteps of Jesus on the “via dolorosa”.
