A prophecy emanating from the mystery of the healing oil

This article describes messages to the world that Sister Raquel says she has received in the last few months.

In 1991, Sister Raquel Reodica, RVM, received her gift of healing a week after the Mount Pinatubo eruption, one of the biggest disasters in Philippine history. A typhoon scattered the volcanic ash in the stratosphere all the way to the Antarctic, disrupting data of a US global-warming research station there. The station reported that the effect was so immense that there was a momentary cooling of the Earth.

During that week, a woman she had never met, approached her, and, claiming to see visions, told her she would eventually receive a second gift, the gift of prophecy, or the ‘third eye’. First, she found the notion preposterous, then later scary. In September 2009, close to two decades later, this gift of prophecy began to manifest itself during an equally-deadly disaster period – three consecutive typhoons, Ondoy, Ramil and Pepeng, which rendered hundreds of thousands homeless in Metro-Manila, Baguio and Pangasinan.

On September 25, 2009, one day before Ondoy swept through Metro-Manila, Sister Raquel unlocked the gates of the adoration chapel of the Mother Ignacia Healing Ministry at 6 a.m., and discovered pools of oil which mysteriously appeared on the marble floor. She collected the oil in a towel and used if for healing. There were dramatic cases of instant healings. For one, Edwin Reyes, afflicted with brain tumor, within days, stood up from his wheelchair and started jumping and dancing, which was caught on camera. See part 2 below.

When typhoon Ramil threatened Ilocos days after Ondoy, Sister Raquel and chaplain Father Tiofilo fell on their knees in prayer, pleading to the Lord to spare the Philippines. Curiously, two high pressure areas sandwiched Ramil, which weakend into a tropical depression and veered towards Taiwan.

During the Pinatubo eruption, the situation was exactly the same. Philvolcs reported that a second eruption was imminent when steam vents were increasing at the crater. Sister Raquel and a handul of RVM nuns prayed for the Lord to spare the Philippines. That second eruption never occurred. Skeptics, of course, argued it was not prayers, just Nature. But other believed prayers pre-empted a second disaster. The power of prayer is the theme of Sister Raquel’s messages described here. Was it an odd coincidence that Ondoy unleashed was followed by Ramil averted, just like the first eruption unleashed and a second averted? Does this reveal a God of mercy and punishment all at once?

On November 6, 2009, a First Friday, oil appeared once again, more profuse than ever. This time the pools of oil were neatly positioned in nine equidistant lines from the back of the chapel to the altar. High resolution photos were taken by the Sisters before the oil dried up.

This healing oil became the basis of Sister Raquel’s claim of messages from the Lord for the world. She did not hear ‘voices’, she simply ‘felt’ the messages overwhelm her consciousness, which she found hard to described.

It must be clarified that in 2001, Sister Raquel spoke of impending earthquakes in the Philippines. She gave a broad time period, not an exact date. But by the time the news hit front page, an exact date given by a woman who frequented the healing center, was erroneously attributed to her. When no earthquake came on that date, she became the subject of criticism. Her published reply was too late, the damage was done. Today, she is willing to take the risk of facing critics because she says the Lord wants these message conveyed.

Sister Raquel’s emerging messages are as follows. First, the nine lines of oil refer to nine years (2009 to 2018) that the Lord is giving mankind to change its ways. This a ‘deadline’. Second, Sister spoke of the urgency for the rich, comprising 3% of Philippine population to give to the poor which comprises about 70%. This virtue of sharing is not an option, it is an obligation. Sister says the Lord is not requesting but demanding that everyone must start helping others, praying harder, and renewing lives in Him. She cites the gentle and harsh words of Jesus in Matthew 25:35 – “Come, blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom, for I was hungry and you gave me food … Depart from Me, you accursed, into eternal fire for I was hungry and you gave me no food.”

Third, Sister cites the third secret of Fatima, mentioning a ‘global earthquake’ occurring worldwide simultaneously if man does not change his ways. She cautions that her aim is not to sow panic but to sow prayer. It took the Church decades to finally reveal the third secret in fear the harsh predictions would sow panic. Alas, there was no panic. We have all but forgotten the terrible forewarnings in the third secret.

Fourth, sister spoke of the power of prayer which can avert disasters. Disasters are ‘negotiable’. We can bargain with prayer and good deeds. She cites how the Lord spared the affluent city of Nineveh because it repented in its decadent ways. She cites how the Lord would have spared Sodom and Gomorrah if one holy person there was found there. Alas, they were burnt to the ground.

She also cites the story of how a small Jesuit resident just a few hundred meters from ground zero of the Hiroshima nuclear blast in World War II remained mysteriously untouched. At that time, the residents were praying the rosary.

Fifth, certain pools of oil were shaped like the map of the Philippines. But the Visayas was oddly found separate from Luzon and Mindanao. Sister says this means the Visayas could be spared because the Lord is pleased. Is this because of the annual celebration of Sinulog dedicated to the Santo Nino or Holy Child?

Sixth, Sister Raquel explains that there were ‘three rays of light’ falling on the Philippine map (the pools of oil shaped into its map). She says, “It is not an accident that we have millions of OFWs scattered worldwide. The Lord will use them to evangelize the whole world. The have a role to play.” Filipino priests among OFWs have ‘a challenging work’.

Sister clarifies that people are not obliged to believe her. Faith is a gift and belief is of the free will. But there is nothing to lose in listening to the warnings, old warnings we have forgotten (the third secret) and everything to gain in renewing life in the Lord.

Today is an era of global warming, intensifying typhoons and hurricanes, earthquakes and tsunamis, forest fires and floods, droughts, and swine and avian flu. Legalized abortion is now financed by governments. Materialism has intensified into a plague that haunts rich and poor countries. Corporate greed has triggered a global financial meltdown. It is in this backdrop that these messages of prayer and renewal are being conveyed.

THE AMAZING SECRET OF THE SOULS IN PURGATORY

Above is the title of a book written by an Austrian woman, who was visited regularly by souls in purgatory. This article is based on that book and on interviews of the author MARIA SIMMA by Sister Emmanuel of Medjugorje.

In 1940, at 4 a.m., a ‘spirit’ in human form appeared to Maria Simma at her home in Sonntag, Vorarberg Mountains, Austria. Her spiritual director said he knew the spirit was from purgatory when he requested Maria to have three masses celebrated for him so that he would be ‘delivered’. Maria was subsequently visited regularly by many souls in purgatory. They pleaded for masses, rosaries or stations of the cross to be said for them to atone for their sins and free them from suffering.

“THE MASS IS THE MOST EFFECTIVE (IN ATONING FOR SINS) BECAUSE IT IS JESUS WHO OFFERS HIMSELF OUT OF LOVE FOR US, THE MOST BEAUTIFUL OFFERING”.

Many go to a funeral without saying a single prayer, “while shedding many tears; this is useless!” Souls, when they see their own funeral, say,

“TEARS ARE NO GOOD FOR US, ONLY PRAYER.”

Maria was asked by a soul to suffer for three hours for her. She accepted and said the ordeal was like it was three days. “The soul told her that

“AT THE MOMENT OF DEATH, THE TIME TO EARN MERITS IS OVER. FOR AS LONG AS WE ARE LIVING ON EARTH, WE CAN REPAIR THE EVIL WE HAVE DONE. THE SOULS IN PURGATORY ENVY US OF THIS OPPORTUNITY. EVEN THE ANGELS ARE JEALOUS OF US, FOR WE HAVE THE POSSIBILITY OF GROWING FOR AS LONG AS WE ARE ON EARTH.”

“The souls in purgatory can no longer do anything for themselves. They are totally helpless. If the living do not pray for them; they are totally abandoned. Therefore, it is very important to realize

THE IMMENSE POWER EACH ONE OF US HAS TO RELIEVE THESE SOULS WHO SUFFER. THERE IS AN EXTRAORDINARY MEANING TO SUFFERING, AN UNHEARD-OF POWER TO HELP SOULS. SUFFERINGS OFFERED WILL BE OUR MOST PRECIOUS TREASURES IN THE OTHER WORLD.”

Maria told the story of a couple who died almost at the same time. The woman died while getting an abortion. The man led a relatively devout life, and went to church often. To her surprise, the ‘sinner’ woman was already in heaven while the devout man was still suffering in purgatory. Maria found out the woman had deep repentance while the man always criticized others and always complained them.

“RELATIONSHIP SINS”, SINS AGAINST OTHERS, DEMAND GREAT PUNISHMENT IN PURGATORY,

such as unforgiveness, refusal to make peace or reconcile, slander, calumny, hardness of heart, hostility, vengeance, sins against charity or love of neighbor, bitterness, etc.

Maria told “the story of a woman she knew very well. This lady died and was in Purgatory, in the most terrible Purgatory, with the most atrocious sufferings. And when she came to see Maria, she explained why. She had had a female friend. Between them rose a great enmity, caused by herself. She had maintained this enmity for years and years, even though her friend had many times asked for peace, for reconciliation. But each time, she refused. When she fell gravely ill, she continued to close her heart, to refuse the reconciliation offered by her friend, right up to her deathbed.”

Relationships are the greatest source of suffering even on earth. The pain of cancer or arthritis is easier to bear than the pain of bad relationships –

hatred or unexpressed bitterness hidden deep within us for years, because

HATE CONSUMES THE SOUL AND IS ITS OWN PUNISHMENT.

IN THE SAME WAY, PEOPLE WITH “RELATIONSHIP VIRTUES”, LOVE FOR OTHERS, HAVE THE GREATEST CHANCE OF GOING STRAIGHT TO HEAVEN. LOVE COVERS A MULTITUDE OF SINS.”

Maria said, “We must do a great deal for the souls in purgatory, for they help us in return. We must have much humility.

HUMILITY IS THE GREATEST WEAPON AGAINST EVIL. HUMILITY DRIVES EVIL AWAY. PRIDE IS EVIL’S GREATEST TRAP.”

“Contrition is very important. The sins are forgiven, in any case, but

there remains the consequences of sins.”

At the moment of death, “The Lord gives several minutes to each one in order to regret his sins and to decide: I accept, or I do not accept to go and see God. Then we see a film of our lives. I knew a man who believed in the Church’s teachings, but not in eternal life. One day, he fell gravely ill and slid into a coma. He saw himself in a room with a board on which all his deeds were written, the good and the bad. Then the board disappeared as well as the walls of the room, and it was infinitely beautiful. Then he woke up from his coma, and decided to change his life. “

IN RETURN, THOSE WHO ATTAIN HEAVEN BECAUSE OF YOUR PRAYERS WILL HELP YOU IN YOUR SUFFERING AND CRISIS. DO THE SAME AFTER SAYING THE ROSARY OR AN OUR FATHER AND THREE HAIL MARYs.

I am Jan Michael Cruz Robles, 24 years old. I am currently suffering from a chest pain which i suspect is a Coronary Artery Disease or a Lung Cancer. I am afraid of a check up. I would like to ask for your help in praying for my grandmother, Visayas C. Domingo. She was confined yesterday at Veterans Memorial Medical Center because she saw blood on her stool. She has undergone a test where they inserted a tube in her nose all the way to her stomach to check if there are signs of ulcer. That test is very painful and according to my mom, my Grandmother is shouting while the test is being performed. On January 12, 2010, Tuesday, she will go to the National Kidney Institute for a series of tests like inserting another tube to her mouth to check her kidneys. I am sure that this is another painful procedure. My grandma has a heart disease and those exams cannot be performed under general anesthesia. I pray to God that everything will be just fine and for the good health of my grandmother. I know that God will help her because I myself had been healed through this email, prayers, and by visiting the Mother Ignacia Healing Center. Now, chest pain is not a big problem anymore because of my faith and the help of Mother Ignacia, Mama Mary, and Jesus Christ. Thank you sir Bernie, Sister Raquel and Sister Gloria. My name is Ronaldo B. Vetus. I’m an average Catholic person who has strong faith in our Lord. I am 45 yrs old, a husband of a loving and very supportive wife, Jenny, and a father of two wonderful kids, Diego (8yrs old) and Miguel (2yrs old). We are presently residing here in California, USA, and we’ve been here for 4 years now. I have a full time job while Jenny stays home to take care of the kids. I recently suffered from a mild stroke last December 24, 2009 and was diagnosed with hypertension, diabetes and high cholesterol. Aside from these illnesses, based from the results of my CT Scan and MRI, the doctors discovered a tumor deep inside the rear portion of my brain and another tumor in my liver. No biopsy has been conducted yet, thus, we still do not know the state of these tumors. Sister Raquel, it is my pervent prayer to our Lord to please give me a second chance to live longer with my family. I know that I am not worthy of His mercy and grace for the countless shortcomings I’ve done, but for the sake of my wife and our two kids because they still need me, I pray with all humility for His mercy. Sister Raquel, I beg you to intercede for my request. May you include me in your prayers and may the power of your healing hands touch me in spite the distance and deliver me from all these illnesses and tumors. God knows how much I love my wife and our two boys. They are my life, and for their sake, I beg for your help for the Lord to give another chance. thank you for everything! I tune in to your radio program and healing sessions thru air regularly/religiously every Wednesday at 8:00-9:00pm since the time I heard about your healing ministry 10months ago. I prayed that the Lord would heal me of my cervical cancer stage 2b diagnosed last March 18, 2009. PRAISE GOD! Last Oct 27, 2009 after lab tests, results showed negative findings! I continued listening to your program even until now. Please intercede for the healing with my throat problem which has been bothering me for years. I’ve consulted several doctors and was prescribed several medicines but I’m still suffering from this ailment. you have answered my prayer. my bf and i have gotten back together and for one week i was the happiest person in the entire universe. but we had a big fight on christmas eve and he hates me for some reason. this is the most devastating christmas i have ever experienced in my life. he said he doesnt want to see me anymore. we still have big problems to face. i pray that you would touch his heart Lord, and that he comes to you for support and bring back his faith in You. Hello. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I saw this email add in the website regarding the prayer for the sick. Last August my daughter was diagnosed with HLH cancer and with the miracle of God it was cured. My daughter was discharged in UAH/Stollery Children’s Hospital (Edmonton, Canada) on Nov 17 after having the 8 weeks initial chemo treatment. The bone marrow test and other lab test turned negative for any cancer cells. After a month without chemo treatment everything seems to be fine except for the lumps on her body. Only this morning (Dec 24) when the oncologists informed us that my daughter has a lymphoma cancer. They found it in the biopsy that was done 2 weeks ago. They need to start the chemo treatment on Thursday (Dec 31, 2009) and do some CT scan, gallium scan and IVAD implant (operation). We need a very big favor please, my daughter Noleina Garcia needs a healing prayer. Shee needs another miracle. She’s only 11 years old and she wants to have a normal life again. Please do help us. It’s a good thing though that he did not have brain damage, but still he is under the very critical condition state. I love my dad so much I want for him to live longer. He is so fond of his grandchildren. We miss him so much. I believe in the power of prayer. Please include him in your talk with God.
